This August Bank holiday  saw the opening for the first time of the London Street Photography Festival. Set in the heart of the East End of London at the wonderful Stour Space. The London Street Photography Festival is the dream of Dmitry stepanenko and Mary Timohova and runs for six days.

The LSPF features workshops, competitions, prominent artist along with guest speakers with Peter Dench, who for me stole the show giving a funny and informative talk about being a photojournalist. In fact we would love to have him as one of our guest speakers in 2018.

LSPF in conjunction with the Stour Space proved that Street photography is still a thriving art form as photographers from Israel to America contribute accomplished images depicting street scenes from around the world. I could state the old cliche that this is a must see festival, so I won’t. I will say miss it at your peril.

The LSPF has been such a success that Mary and Dmitry will be hosting this festival annually. I look forward to next years festival.
